Sharon Worster, Chef and Owner
Sharon Worster has been immersed in the culinary industry since she became a Personal Chef in February of 1999 in The Woodlands, TX. Her in-home cooking service offers a variety of services for her clients. Her love of cooking came from her family and she is an autodidactic chef who specializes in seasonal palate specific hand prepared fresh food.
Sharon is the former CEO and co-founder of Personal Chefs Network from February 2000 until April 2009. She previously owned The Jewelry Kitchen and EZChef with her business partner, Chef Brent Evans. Sharon spent 17 years working as a nurse in hospitals, physician offices, and was a physician practice manager for 10 years. She also directs a hugely popular cookbook club in her area that hosts tastings for members. She is a certified personal chef and is certified to teach 'Make Sense of Taste' by the Southern Food and Beverage Museum in New Orleans. She was also a former guest curator for the Southern Food and Beverage Museum. She is currently working as a Personal Chef and part-time Sales Associate at Sur la Table.
As the CEO of Personal Chefs Network, Sharon wrote the educational materials for the Personal Chef Industry named, 'The Making of a Personal Chef,' and trained thousands of cooks and chefs to start their own culinary businesses. Personal Chefs Network held annual conferences and symposiums in Houston, TX, Chicago, IL, Las Vegas, NV, Charleston, SC, Portland, OR, and Boston, MA. The conferences featured training classes, business classes, featured well known cookbook authors, and culinary events.
Sharon is a Certified Personal Chef and now cooks for select clients in The Woodlands, TX based on availability as well as in-home supper parties and she also teaches private culinary classes.
Sharon hosted the final symposium for Personal Chefs Network in October of 2008 in Charleston, SC with her business partner, Brent Evans. The event was held October 15 - 18, 2008 at the Folly Beach Holiday Inn on the beach. Guest speakers and chefs were Michael Ruhlman, author of The French Laundry, The Soul of a Chef, The Making of a Chef, Chacuterie, Elements of Cooking, Ratio, and Sous Vide, along with Chef Ann Willan, the founder of La Varenne Cooking School in France and author of many cookbooks, and Denise Vivaldo of Food Fanatics.
